My Approach

Most fad diets tend to focus on one specific food and then villainize it (remember the carb scare of '07?), they give you strict (unrealistic) guidelines to follow, and they never take individual differences into account.


As a result, fad diets rarely succeed at anything other than making you feel like a failure (because when you inevitably fall off the cabbage soup wagon, you will blame yourself and not the ridiculous diet you were on). 


We've been taught to believe that "if only we had willpower", we'd be able to live off of veggies alone and have the body we've always dreamed of. And it is precisely this message that tormented me for years and infuriates me now. 

That is why my approach is different


I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. 


  • Does stress at your job cause you to overeat? 

  • Is your relationship affecting your eating habits? 

  • Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? 

  • And most importantly, is your mindset preventing you from successfully reaching your health goals? 


I will work with you  to look at how all parts of your life affect your health.

My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. Nor do I have a set diet plan that I give out to every client. I don’t tell you what to eat and what not to eat.

Everyone has an opinion these days about how you should live and what you should eat. But I believe that nothing is more reliable than firsthand experience. Which is why I teach you to listen to your body and make your own decisions about which foods work best for you.


We will begin by creating a list of foods that you love and don't want to live without. From there, we will work to create ways to make those foods healthier, by using nutrient dense ingredients. 

Learning to indulge healthfully is key to a healthy lifestyle. I don’t believe success can be possible where deprivation exists. 


If you’re constantly feeling deprived, that means you’re constantly unsatisfied, and if you’re constantly unsatisfied, that means you’re constantly relying on your willpower to keep you on track (and we all know how that story ends….knee deep in a tub of ice cream).  


That is why it is so important to learn how to indulge in our favourite foods while at the same time nourishing our bodies from the ingredients we use. Our bodies (and our cravings!) change dramatically when they are fed foods that allow them to thrive. 


I work with my clients to make small changes that, over time, make big differences in their overall health and wellness. 

We begin where you are,  we start with the changes you can say yes to today and we slowly build upon those changes. I do not force you to do anything that you don't want to do (not at first anyway!!😉). 


As a coach, I put the power back in your hands by helping you feel in control, and not at the mercy of your cravings. 


Together we work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, improving digestion, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy


As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and you will implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health.


My ultimate goal as your Health Coach is to take the overwhelm out of making healthy changes, and to help you build healthy habits that work for you so that you can feel better in your body, have more energy, increase your overall happiness, create long-term, sustainable change and to live a life that you love!
